Christmas and 41 Weeks

We've been keeping very busy in the days since my due date.  The biggest news of course being Christmas!  Ceci didn't show much interest in or comprehension of Christmas in the past few weeks so Jay and I had limited expectations of how Christmas morning would go, but Ceci was hilarious!  She loved her presents and really enjoyed opening and playing with them.  It was such a lovely morning.  Then in the afternoon our lovely neighbors had us over for a Christmas playdate and dinner!  Ceci had a blast and so did we :)

Due Date!

So my due date has arrived - I am officially 40 weeks pregnant. But no baby yet.  Not really even an inkling.  Looks like this one is going to be just as stubborn as a her sister!


Speaking of comparing the two - I noticed a little over a week ago I was wearing the same dress as I wore around the same time with Ceci.  So here's a side-by-side of me at around 38 weeks with both (hair down is with Ceci):

One Month To Go!

Today marks one month until my due date!  This pregnancy has gone by so fast - I can't believe November is drawing to a close!  (The fact that the weather here has been lovely - high 60s and sunny - and that Thanksgiving isn't celebrated here, means it really doesn't feel like November!)

Since Ceci was 10 days late I'm trying not to get my hopes up that I'll go into labor on or before my due date, but a small part of me is hopeful I will because I'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable. The fatigue and back/hip pain wear on me a bit, though I have my good days and bad days.  Chasing after Ceci certainly doesn't help either - thank goodness for Nursery!

News & Updates!

My, my, my.  Where has the time gone? I'm now 27 weeks pregnant and entering my third trimester - I can't believe I have less than three months until baby #2 is due!  The rest of summer (and most of September) have simply disappeared.  The constant nausea finally subsided a few weeks ago, though the fatigue still comes and go.  And just for fun I'm now struggling with hip pain that's affecting my ability to walk for more than a few minutes and heartburn - both pregnancy issues I dealt with last time but unfortunately they're both worse this time around.  But all-in-all I'm hanging in there!
